Do air purifiers cool a room?
In one line: no — an air purifier does not cool a room. It has a fan, so the moving air can feel like a faint breeze up close, but it doesn't lower the room's temperature. For cooling you need a fan (air movement) or an air conditioner (actual heat removal).
Why it doesn't cool
Cooling means removing heat from the air. An air conditioner does that with a refrigeration cycle; a fan doesn't cool the air either, but the breeze speeds evaporation from your skin so you feel cooler. An air purifier's fan is designed to push air through filters, not across your body — its airflow is modest and aimed at cleaning, so it produces almost no cooling effect. If anything, the motor adds a tiny amount of heat.
