How to use an air purifier
In one line: unwrap the filter, put the unit in an open spot in the room you use most, run it continuously (auto mode or a speed that suits), and keep filters fresh. That's 90% of getting it right.
Step by step
- Remove the filter wrapping. New filters ship in plastic — take it off before first use, or the unit can't move air. (A brief "new" smell for a day is normal.)
- Pick the room. One unit cleans one room, so put it where you spend time — usually the bedroom first (see how many you need).
- Place it well. Open space around the intake and outlet, not boxed behind furniture or jammed in a corner (placement guide).
- Run it continuously. It only cleans while on; low-and-continuous beats occasional blasts (when to run it).
- Use auto, or the right speed. Auto mode adjusts to the air; otherwise run higher when cooking/cleaning, lower and quiet overnight.
- Maintain it. Clean the pre-filter regularly and replace HEPA/carbon on schedule (intervals).
Common beginner mistakes
- Leaving the filter plastic on (no airflow).
- Buying too small for the room, then running it loud (size for CADR).
- Switching it off between uses — the air just re-dirties.
- Expecting it to remove damp or cool the room — it does neither.

FAQ
Do I leave an air purifier on all the time? Yes — continuous running keeps the air clean; it only works while switched on. Use a quiet speed overnight.
Do I need to take anything off a new filter? Yes — remove the plastic wrapping before first use, or it can't move air.
